Inspired by the architecture of Venetian churches, the collection 'An Alternative History' by French designers Oud is a testament to this universe and the savoir-faire that survived through the ages. Made from solid oak, the magnificent Ai Frari console table has been lacquered to a brilliant bordeaux finish. Each successive layer of lacquer is meticulously applied, dried and polished by skilled artisans. In the 18th century, this precise and laborious technique was commonly employed by Venetian artisans, as the fruit of cultural exchanges between Europe and the far East.
