The following are some of our frequently asked questions.
Delivery & Returns
We currently deliver to all countries in Europe, US and Canada.
For orders shipped outside of the European Union, VAT is excluded from the price displayed. The applicable duties and taxes will be payable upon delivery by the buyer.
If you need to make changes to your order, please contact our team within 24 hours. We might be able to modify the order, but that’s only possible if you get in touch quickly after placing an order because our team will need to contact the brand(s). Please email your request to team@modernmetier.com.
Yes, it is possible, especially if you just placed the order. Please email your request stating the new delivery address to team@modernmetier.com.
Your shipping total is based on the number of items as well as the weight of the products in your order.
If your product is damaged or faulty, you must contact us within seven days of receipt by email to team@modernmetier.com. We deal with damaged or faulty items on an individual basis, but it’s always helpful if you take pictures of the damage immediately after unpacking an item.
You can return your order within 14 days of delivery, with the exclusion of made to order or bespoke products.
You must return the product(s) in the same condition in which you received them, with their original packaging.
Once we receive the product, we will process a full refund excluding delivery costs within 14 days upon receipt of the returned items.
Payments
We accept payment by all major cards, PayPal and wire transfer.
You will be charged in full immediately after your order is confirmed. You will receive a notification email once the confirmation happens.
You can download all invoices under the “Orders” in your Account page. Once your order is shipped, you can download the invoice.
Made to order and Bespoke
A ‘made to order’ item is produced only when your order has been placed, which means that there’s no wasteful production.
The lead times for made to order items are indicated on the product description page. We recommend that you contact the brand or designer through the ‘Request a Quote’ feature displayed on every product page to receive an exact estimate of the production delays.
A bespoke item is a tailor made piece for a specific individual or a project based on their specifications.
If a brand or designer offers customisation of an item, this will be indicated on the product page. In this case, you can share the details of your customisation request through the ‘Request a Quote’ feature available the product page.
