We present a selection of independent brands and designers who share our values: locally sourced materials, an original vision and sustainable craftsmanship, a reflection of our name, ‘metier’, which embodies this commitment.
A French maison d'édition
In 2024, Modern Metier stepped into a new role as a design publisher. During Paris Design Week, Modern Metier unveiled Solstice, its first collection in collaboration with French designer Léa Zeroil. Imbued with a solar aura, the collection brings together six pieces defined by their curved lines and sensual materials. This inaugural edition marked the beginning of a new creative chapter, expanding Modern Metier’s role from contemporary design platform to design house.

A community of inspiring designers
Léa Zeroil
Since 2020, Léa Zeroil has been developing a practice at the intersection of design, sculpture and craftsmanship. Based in Paris and influenced by her childhood in Corsica, the Parisian designer has created the Solstice collection in collaboration with Modern Metier. Six designs inspired by the rhythm of the seasons and imbued with a sense of poetry.
Spaces Within
Spaces Within is a Stockholm-based label known for its minimalist hardware, conceived as jewellery for the home. Working closely with skilled artisans, the studio creates pieces defined by their materiality, detail and quiet sense of permanence.
Hauvette & Madani
Founded by Samantha Hauvette and Lucas Madani, the Paris-based studio draws on architectural heritage and French decorative arts while cultivating a refined, disciplined minimalism. From the 'Amuse bouche' to the 'Entremet' collection, their work balances historical references with a contemporary clarity of line.
Oud
Founded by architects Marie-Sarah Burckel and Josselin Berteloot in 2018, Oud is a Parisian-based architecture and design studio. With formative experiences in Venice and Paris, the duo constantly explore the link between the past and present in their creations.

From mouth-blown glass to bespoke furniture and handmade ceramics, the designers we work with either create each piece themselves or work in close dialogue with European artisans to realise them. This considered, small-scale approach preserves the integrity, authenticity and artisanal value of every object.
