For Paris Design Week 2026, Modern Metier transported visitors to an imagined destination somewhere along the Tropic of Capricorn. Set within an immersive tropical scenography, the brand unveiled its new collection, designed by French designer Rudy Guénaire, founder of NightFlight Studio. Comprising seven hand-drawn creations, the series reinterprets the architectural lines of Brazilian Modernism, bringing together natural textures, polished metal and soft textiles.

Set against a backdrop of woven bamboo, the installation was animated by the gentle hum of fans and the murmur of waves. Here, artisanal craftsmanship met free-flowing forms, creating an atmosphere that invited visitors to slow down, cocktail in hand, and let summer linger a little longer.

The seven pieces from Tropic of Capricorn — the Jet Set sofa and armchair, Fleming chair, Avenue table, Casca pendant, Monument wall light and Marimba mirror — will soon be available on our website.
