Kaia is a lighting studio defined by a clear design language and a deep respect for craftsmanship. Founded in 2013, Kaia creates sculptural lighting using traditional techniques and carefully sourced materials such as glass, stone, and brass. Collaborations with designers such as Sophie Dries, Lukas Peet, and Peter Straka reflect Kaia’s commitment to form and material integrity. Each piece is produced in small batches by European artisans, then finished and assembled in the studio’s Munich atelier. Rooted in an architectural sensibility, Kaia’s collections bring structure and atmosphere to a space. The focus is on proportion and restraint, lighting conceived not as decoration, but as part of the architecture.
