"The Jewellery Box" by Modern Metier & Léa Zeroil
A precious installation for 3daysofdesign, where ornamentation takes centre stage.
For Modern Metier's debut appearance at 3daysofdesign in Copenhagen, we presented "The Jewellery Box", an exhibition conceived in collaboration with designer Léa Zeroil and centred on the art of ornamentation. Unfolding across three intimate rooms, the exhibition brings Léa Zeroil’s signature pieces into dialogue with the Solstice collection, developed in partnership with Modern Metier.
For this edition, several works are unveiled in refined new finishes, including the subtly pearlescent raw silk of the Vigne pendant lights and the sumptuous velvet upholstery of the Gamma chair. The exhibition also features a curated selection of European designers, including Studio Gazar’s sculptural ceramic vases, Spaces Within’s striking recycled brass handles, Caia Leifsdotter’s mouth-blown glass exploring organic forms, and Szymon Keller’s amber-like resin pieces. Conceived as a jewel box, the installation invites visitors to explore the richness of materials, the beauty of meticulous craftsmanship, and the enduring excellence of European design traditions.
