Designed by the founder of volta, Agathe Lavaud, the Meï cork stool is a modern take on a traditionally humble material. With its pure lines, the stool's monolithic form is balanced by the soft roundness of the velvet seat. Developed in collaboration with Portuguese atelier Trizzano, the stool is made from compressed recycled cork, creating an innovative pattern that mimics the appearance of stone. Renewable and sustainable, cork is harvested from the bark of cork oaks every nine years. Each Meï cork stool is dyed with natural tints and paired with a black cushion in cotton velvet for a stylish, tonal look. Mix the Meï cork stool with the dining chair from the same collection to create a unique dining setting.
