Designed by the founder of volta, Agathe Lavaud, the Meï cork bench is a modern take on a traditionally humble material. Spanning two metres, the bench's geometric lines are balanced by the soft roundness of the velvet seat. Developed in collaboration with Portuguese atelier Trizzano, the stool is made from compressed recycled cork, creating an innovative pattern that mimics the appearance of stone. Renewable and sustainable, cork is harvested from the bark of cork oaks every nine years. Each Meï cork bench is dyed with natural tints and paired with a moss green cushion in cotton velvet for a stylish, tonal look. A statement piece that looks equally at home in a dining room or hallway, or to delineate a space.
