Meï Cork Dining Chair 04, Black

Designed by the founder of volta, Agathe Lavaud, the Meï dining chair is a modern take on a traditionally humble material. Featuring a throne-like backrest, the dining chair's monolithic form is balanced by the soft roundness of the velvet seat. Developed in collaboration with Portuguese atelier Trizzano, the dining chair is made from compressed recycled cork, creating an innovative pattern that mimics the appearance of stone. Renewable and sustainable, cork is harvested from the bark of cork oak trees every nine years. Each Meï dining chair is dyed with natural tints and paired with a black cushion in cotton velvet for a stylish, tonal look.
