A lesson in using floor tiles to create a graphic punch.

The story

Interior designer Jade Marçais of Studio Déjà was confronted with one major constraint in the remodelling of this typically Parisian one-bedroom apartment – an imposing corridor threading through the space. Instead of considering it as a disadvantage, Marçais decided to transform it into a key decorative element, introducing an arched entrance and placing floor tiling in a geometric pattern to give the space a graphic punch. In the compact kitchen, a mirror credenza was installed to reflect the vegetation of the courtyard and bring even more light into apartment.
