For the renovation of contemporary gallery Amélie, Maison d’Art, interior architect Rebecca Benichou of Batiik Studio approached the interior design as she would have for the renovation of a private apartment. Echoing the codes of Parisian architecture, visitors are encouraged to discovering the exhibitions by navigating throughout the space, from the living room and the kitchen on the ground floor to the bedroom and bathroom on the upper floor. The gallery’s layout leaves room for the art to be showcased in a quiet and elegant manner, allowing visitors to project themselves and the artwork in a ‘home-like’ context.
