Meï Cork Bar Stool 02, Beige

Designed by the founder of volta, Agathe Lavaud, the Meï cork bar stool is a modern take on a traditionally humble material. The bar stool’s monolithic form is balanced by the soft roundness of the velvet seat. Standing alone or in a group, the geometric backrest creates an immediate visual impact from all angles. Developed in collaboration with Portuguese atelier Trizzano, the bar stool is made from compressed recycled cork, creating an innovative pattern that mimics the appearance of stone. Renewable and sustainable, cork is harvested from the bark of cork oaks every nine years. Each bar stool is dyed with natural tints and paired with a beige cushion in cotton velvet for a stylish, tonal look.
